Placed Receives Series A Venture Capital Funding

Seattle, Washington  --  Location IT company Placed has raised $3.4 million in its first round of institutional venture capital.

Placed measures, aggregates and analyzes location-based user activity and provides business insights for application developers.

Madrona Venture Group led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.

Concurrent with the announcement, the company said it would open up its "Placed for Developers" platform for application developers.
