Alcyone Lifesciences Lands Series A Venture Capital

   Ayer, Massachusetts  --  Medical device company Alcyone Lifesciences has secured $1.8 million in its first round of venture capital financing.

Alcyone says that it is "focused on developing products for treatment of difficult neuropathological conditions."

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Alcyone is still seeking $200,000 in additional first-round financing.
