Proto Labs Launches New RC Aircraft

Maple Plain, Minnesota  --  Manufacturing company Proto Labs has announced a new remote controlled aircraft.

Called the Quadshot, the aircraft can take off vertically and hover like a helicopter or change its orientation and fly forward like an airplane.

The Quadshot utilizes four independent motors and uses gyroscopes, accelerometers and microprocessors originally developed for smart phones.

The aircraft is part of the company's Cool Idea! award program.
