AeroVironment Touts Air Force Orders For UAVs

   Monrovia, California  --  Unmanned aircraft system provider AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) has announced a $2.4 million contract win from the U.S. Air Force.

The company will deliver its Puma AE unmanned aircraft, which weighs 13 pounds, is powered by batteries and has a two-hour flight endurance.

Previously, The United States Special Operations Command and the U.S. Army selected the Puma system, which is primarily used for surveillance.
