Dow AgroSciences Launches GM Corn In Brazil

   Indianapolis, Indiana  --  Dow AgroSciences has announced the launch of a genetically modified corn strain in Brazil and Argentina.

Called POWERCORE, the hybrid trait includes five genes "stacked" in corn to increase its productivity and yield between five and 10% depending on the technological capabilities of the crop and weather conditions.

The purpose of the inserted genetic code is to fight against a number of major corn pests.
