GreenBytes Grabs Series B VC Funding

  Ashway, Rhode Island  --  Storage technology company GreenBytes has garnered $12 million in its second institutional venture capital investment round.

GreenBytes has created an efficient data storage system that it calls an "ultra high efficiency NAS."

Generation Investment Management led the round, which included previous investor Battery Ventures.

The company said it would use the financing to expand sales and marketing efforts as well as for ongoing R&D.
