Avalara Adds $20 Million Venture Capital Investment

Bainbridge Island, Washington  --  Software developer Avalara has landed $20 million in institutional venture capital funding.

Avalara has created a scalable sales tax software solution for midsized businesses.

Battery Ventures led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.

Proceeds purposes were not disclosed.
