Calithera Bio Raises $4 Million New Venture Capital

   South San Francisco, California  --  Small molecule technology company Calithera Biosciences has garnered $4 million in new venture capital investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Calithera is developing new approaches to the treatment of cancer using small molecules to activate enzymes.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Calithera is still seeking an additional $23.5 million in funding, according to the filing.
