Astute Medical Adds $40 Million VC Financing

  San Diego, California  --  Diagnostic technology company Astute Medical has landed $40.4 million in its third round of venture capital investment.

Astute develops rapid diagnosis and risk assessment technologies for community and hospital acquired acute conditions.

MPM Capital led the investor syndicate, which included venture capital and strategic investors.

The company said it would use the financing to begin commercializing its first product.
