AppDirect Adds Series A Venture Capital Financing

San Francisco, California  --  Mobile application marketplace company AppDirect has raised $8.5 million in its first institutional venture capital round.

AppDirect operates what it calls a "Business Application Network" that enables businesses to receive one bill for all their application purchases.




iNovia Capital and Stingray Digital Group made the investment.

The company said it would hire another 50 employees before the end of 2012 and open an office in Europe in 2013.
