Thursday, July 19, 2012 5:01:00 AM PDT | VentureDeal

Denver, Colorado  --  Sensor technology company SenseTech has partnered with ICEdot to commercialize a new helmet impact sensor.

The wireless sensor will be an aftermarket product that can be mounted onto any helmet.

In the event of a significant impact force, the device, when paired with a smartphone utilizing the ICEdot application, will automatically sound an alarm and initiate an emergency countdown.

If the user does not stop the countdown, the application will utilize the phone to notify the person's emergency contacts listed in their profile.
