Apigee Accepts $20 Million 5th Venture Capital Round

   Palo Alto, California  --  IT company Apigee has secured $20 million in its series E round of venture capital financing.

Apigee has created a marketplace ecosystem for the creation and management of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

Focus Ventures led the round, which included previous investors Bay Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, SAP Ventures and Third Point.

The company said it would use the financing to add capabilities to its software and ramp up sales and marketing efforts outside the US.
