IntelliWheels To Develop Easier-Use Wheelchair

   Champaign, Illinois  --  University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign spin out IntelliWheels is developing improved mobility options for wheelchair users.

Founded by mechanical engineer Scott Daigle, the company has created a patent-pending geared wheel designed to make pushing manual wheelchairs easier.

The company also announced receiving venture funding as well as a Phase 1 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the National Institutes of Health.
