CouchSurfing Snags $15 Million VC Round

   San Francisco, California  --  Internet technology company CouchSurfing has received $15 million in second round venture capital investment.

CouchSurfing has created a "free, Internet-based, international hospitality service."

General Catalyst Partners led the round, which also included Menlo Ventures, Benchmark Capital and the Omidyar Network.

The company said it would use the funding to expand its product management and engineering teams.
