NeuroMetrix Receives Clearance For Pain Mgmnt Device

   Waltham, Massachusetts  --  Diabetes neurology company NeuroMetrix (NASDAQ: NURO) has received FDA 510(k) marketing clearance for its new pain management device.

Called SENSUS, the device is a collar placed around the lower leg that electrically stimulates good nerves in order to reduce pain signals from damaged nerves.

The company said that the clearance will enable it to launch the system in the fourth quarter of 2012.
