eSpark Collects First Venture Capital Funding

  Chicago, Illinois  --  Education technology company eSpark has received $5.7 million in series A round of VC financing.

eSpark has developed an online service that helps elementary school student make learning fun.

Investors in the round included MK Capital, Learn Capital Venture Partners, NewSchools Venture Fund and 500 Startups.

The company said it would use the financing to add staff and redesign its user interface.
