OptiMedica Gets Clearance For Corneal Device

   Sunnyvale, California  --  Ophthalmic medical device firm OptiMedica announced that the FDA has authorized 510(k) marketing clearance for its corneal incision device.

Called the Catalys Precision Laser System, the device enables surgeons to create single plane and multi-plane cuts and incisions in the cornea during cataract surgery.

The company says the device provides unequaled precision, is easy to use and requires very little surgeon training.
