CardioLogical Receives Stroke Prevention Patent

   Los Altos, California  --  CardioLogical Solutions said that it had been issued an additional patent for its family of aortic embolic protection devices.

The company, which was formed by a recent merger of Emboline and VasoStitch, now has a comprehensive suite of technologies that it believes address the three largest clinical needs to prevent stroke and other ischemic complications.

CardioLogical says that the combined markets for clinical needs covered by its technologies is estimated at $2 billion-$3 billion per year.
 
The company said it is nearly finished raising its second round of venture capital investment.
