Canonical Launches Ubuntu Interface For Smartphones

   London, UK  --  Linux software developer Canonical has announced the launch of its operating system for smartphones.

Called Ubuntu, the operating system will provide OEMs with another option to converge phone, PC and thin clients into what it calls a "single enterprise superphone."

The operating system is aimed at two mobile segments: the high-end superphone as well as the entry-level basic smartphone.
