Groupon Board Lets Founder And CEO Go

   Chicago, Illinois  --  Online coupon company Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN) has fired its founder and CEO, Andrew Mason.

After several quarters of poor financial results, the board appointed Executive Chairman Eric Lefkofsky and Vice Chairman Ted Leonsis to the newly created Office of the Chief Executive.

The appointments are a temporary, interim arrangement while the company searches for a new chief executive officer.
