Alphabet Energy Closes Series B Venture Capital

   Hayward, California  --  Alternative energy company Alphabet Energy has landed $16 million in its second round of institutional venture capital investment.

Alphabet is commercializing what it calls a "breakthrough, inexpensive waste heat recovery technology."

Encana led the round, which also included previous investors Claremont Creek Ventures, TPG Biotech and the CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund.

The company said it would use the funding to accelerate its product development and officially launch its first product.
