Asuragen Receives Venture Capital Financing

   Austin, Texas  --  Biotechnology company Asuragen has raised $7.5 million in new venture capital equity investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Asuragen is a molecular biology reagent company focused on RNA-based therapeutic diagnostics.

Investors in the round were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

Asuragen is still seeking an additional $7.5 million in financing, according to the filing.
