The company planted its Malibu sweet sorghum hybrid and Palo Alto high biomass sorghum hybrid.

The Malibu crop has been optimized to provide fermentable sugars for the production of biofuels and bio-based products.

The Palo Alto hybrid grows to 20 feet tall after only four months and promises to provide a fast-growing biomass feedstock for biopower uses such as biogas and cellulosic biofuels.
