OpenCoin Adds New Venture Capital Investment

   San Francisco, California  --  E-Commerce technology company OpenCoin has received an undisclosed amount of venture capital investment.

OpenCoin is developing technology that facilitates anonymous electronic digital cash transactions.

Investors in the financing included Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Founders Fund, Vast Ventures and the Bitcoin Opportunity Fund.

The company said it would use the funding to expand development on its virtual currency and payment systems technologies.
