Dwolla Raises Series C Venture Capital

   Des Moines, Iowa  --  E-Commerce technology company Dwolla has secured $16.5 million in its third round of institutional venture capital financing.

Dwolla has developed payments technologies for a variety of business and consumer applications.




Andreessen Horowitz led the round, which included previous investors Union Square Ventures, Village Ventures and Thrive Capital.

The company said it would use the funding proceeds to open a new office in San Francisco and continue its expansion.
