BitInstant Bags Seed Venture Capital Investment

New York, New York -- Online financial services company BitInstant has landed $1.5 million in seed venture capital financing.

BitInstant has developed payment processing technologies for a variety of Bitcoin exchanges and other merchants.

The Winklevoss Capital Fund led the round, which included other investors.

The company said it would use the financing to scale up its staff and product development initiatives.
