Chicago, Illinois  --  The Clinton Global Initiative announced the expansion of a program to train women entrepreneurs.

Originally developed to help women in mining communities in Chile and Peru, American DreamBuilder is a 12 course program designed for women who own small or medium-sized businesses and desire additional training and support.

CGI America cited a 2009 study by the Center for Women's Business Research that said that women-owned firms have an economic impact of $3 trillion annually in the United States.

The program will be free, as a result of the support of Freeport-Mc MoRan Copper & Gold Inc.
