O3b Networks Launches First Broadband Satellites

   French Guiana  --  O3b Networks announced that it is launching its first four satellites into orbit.

The satellites, which will be launched by a Russian Soyuz rocket, will combine with four more satellites to be launched in September.

The company said that assuming successful launches and testing, operations will start in November, 2013 and will serve consumers and businesses in nearly 180 countries.
