Sacramento, California  --  Organic waste conversion company CleanWorld said that it will expand its successful Sacramento BioDigester facility later this year.

The existing facility launched with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year by converting food waste into renewable energy.

The expansion will increase capacity to 40,000 tons per year, which the company says will make it the largest commercial high-solids food waste digester in the US.

CleanWorld uses a proprietary anaerobic digestion technology using a mix of naturally occurring bacteria.
