Berkeley Launches New Transportation Initiative

   Berkeley, California  --  The City of Berkeley has announced the launch of a new citywide transportation program.

Called goBerkeley, the program aims to incentivize employees of businesses in the three commercial areas of the city to use public transportation by providing free passes.

In addition, it is adding more City CarShare locations and vehicles as well as discounts.

The goal of the program is incentivize regular users of the streets to effectively take cars off the streets.
