MapR Tech Launches M7 On Amazon Web Services

   San Jose, California  --  Hadoop developer MapR Technologies has announced the availability of its big data platform on the Amazon Elastic MapReduce cloud.

Called MapR M7, the platform for Apache Hadoop and NoSQL applications will make it easier and cost-effective to deploy clusters on Amazon Web Services.

The platform supports a variety of mission-critical and real-time production uses in a single unified system.

MapR said that all of its editions - M3, M5 and M7 - are now available through the Amazon service.
