Altair Semi Adds $25 Million Venture Capital

   Plano, Texas  --  Fabless semiconductor company Altair Semiconductor has raised $25 million in a new round of venture capital investment.

Altair is developing ultra-low-power mobile WiMAX and 4G LTE semiconductors optimized for handsets and handheld devices.

Investors in the round included Bessemer Venture Partners, BRM Capital, Giza Capital and JVP.

The company said it would use the financing to support high-volume product deployments.
