Banyan Bio Bags $6 Million First VC Round

   Alachua, Florida  --  Biotechnology company Banyan Biomarkers has secured $6 million in its Series A round of venture capital funding.

Banyan is developing biomarkers to diagnose traumatic brain injuries.

Investors in the round were not disclosed.

The company said that it is currently enrolling subjects in a 2,000 patient clinical trial funded by a contract with the US Department of Defense.
