Bustle Bags Series A Venture Capital Funding

Brooklyn, New York  --  Internet media company Bustle has received $6.5 million in its first round of additional venture capital.

Bustle is developing a news, entertainment and lifestyle website aimed at women.

The investment round was led by The Social+Capital Partnership and Time Warner Investments and included Google Ventures, 500 Startups, Rothenberg Ventures and other undisclosed investors.

The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
