Catalyst Biosciences Nets Venture Capital Equity

   South San Francisco, California  --  Catalyst Biosciences has received $400,000 in new venture capital financing, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Catalyst is developing "the next generation of biopharmaceuticals by harnessing the catalytic power of proteases."

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

Catalyst is still seeking $400,000 in additional financing, according to the filing.
