Fox News Channel Creates Breaking News Division

   New York, New York  --  The FOX News Channel has established a new breaking news division with veteran anchor Shepard Smith as its Managing Editor.

The company says that the initiative will "innovate the way news is presented across the network by escaping the boundaries of the traditional evening newscast."

The effort will be housed in a state-of-the-art studio known as The FOX News Deck, which promises to fuse real-time newsfeeds, digital media newsgathering and social media into a single news format.
