Wi-Fi To Account For $150 Billion In Operator Revenue

   Atlanta, Georgia  --  The Wireless Broadband Alliance industry Association has published the findings of its latest business model report.

Conducted with research firm Senza Fili, the Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) report forecasts that NGH Wi-Fi will account for 9% of global mobile traffic and will reach $150 billion in operator revenue by 2018.

In addition, the report states that the combination of NGH Wi-Fi and 4G cellular small cells will bring about additional cost savings of up to 62% versus a 3G macro network.
