C9 Closes $12 Million New Venture Capital Round

San Francisco, California  --  IT company C9 has secured $12 million in its fourth round of institutional venture capital funding.

C9 has created an online platform for JavaScript development using open source technologies.

Mayfield Fund and InterWest Partners led the round, which also included Leapfrog Ventures.

The company said it will use the new funding to fuel its investment in sales, marketing and engineering initiatives.
