SpaceX Lands Satellite Launch Contract

   Hawthorne, CA  -- Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) has been awarded a launch contract by the SKY Perfect JSAT Corp. of Japan.

The contact entails launching the JCSAT-14 communication satellite on the company's Falcon 9 rocket in 2H 2015.

The satellite will replace the JCSAT-2A and will provide coverage to Asia, Russia, Oceania and the Pacific Islands.
