PowerGenix and Amperex Partner on Batteries

   San Diego, California  --  PowerGenix and Amperex have signed a memorandum of understanding for high-volume manufacturing of batteries for global markets.

Under the terms of the agreement, Amperex will manufacture PowerGenix' nickel-zinc rechargeable batteries at high-volume for the worldwide start-stop automotive and industrial energy storage markets.

PowerGenix Says that its batteries are a superior alternative to lead-acid and other chemistry batteries, by offering lower weight, higher energy density and improved recyclability.
