Nexmo Nets $18 Million 3rd Venture Capital Round

   Palo Alto, California  --  Mobile messaging company Nexmo has landed $18 million in its Series C round of institutional venture capital funding.

Nexmo has created a cloud-based SMS API that enables users to transmit a high-volume of messages at low rates.

Sorensen Capital Partners led the round, which included Intel Capital and NHN Investment.

The company said it would use the funding to expand its suite of communication APIs and scale its distribution channels.
