GTCR Closes New Private Equity Buyout Fund

   Chicago, IL  --  Private equity firm GTCR has closed a new buyout fund at $3.85 billion in equity capital commitments.

GTCR Fund XI had a target of $3.25 billion and is the firm's largest fund to date.

Since 1980, GTCR has invested over $10 billion in more than 200 companies and continues to focus on financial services, healthcare and information services and technology.

Investors in the fund include pension funds, endowments, foundations and others.
