Cognoptix Secures Series D Venture Capital

   Acton, Massachusetts  --  Medical technology company Cognoptix has raised $15 million in its fourth round of venture capital funding.

Cognoptix is developing what it calls an "in-office, drug/device diagnostics system as an aid in the early detection of Alzheimer's Disease."

Alopexx led the round, which also included Inventages Venture Capital and Launchpad Venture Group.

The company said it would use the proceeds to fund the pivotal trial and final stages of product development for its diagnostic system.
