Fountain Banks Series A Venture Capital Funds

   San Francisco, California  --  Internet technology company Fountain has raised $4 million in its first round of institutional venture capital investment.

Fountain is developing an online service that enables users to connect with a "highly rated expert who can help" with home and garden subjects.

Investors in the financing included Shasta Ventures and First Round Capital.

The company was founded by Aaron Patzer, the founder and CEO of Mint.com which was sold to Intuit.

Proceeds purposes were not disclosed.
