Red Hat Releases Storage Server Update

   Raleigh, North Carolina  --  Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) has announced the launch of the latest version of its storage server technology.

Red Hat Storage 3 is an open software-defined storage solution for scale-out file storage that the company says is well-suited for data-intensive enterprise workloads.

Common uses for the technology would include big data, operational analytics and enterprise file sharing and collaboration.

The system is based on the GlusterFS 3.6 file system and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
