Confluent Grabs $7 Million Venture Capital Funding

   Mountain View, California  -- Software developer Confluent has received $6.9 million in venture capital financing.

Confluent has developed a data platform built around a real-time, fault-tolerant, scalable messaging system called Apache Kafka.

Benchmark Capital led the round, which also included Data Collective and others.

The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
