Cox Launches First Gigabit Speeds in So Cal

   Rancho Santa Margarita, California  --  Cable Internet service provider Cox Communications said that it is the first to offer residential gigabit speeds in Southern California.

Launched at the Park Place Apartment Homes in Irvine, the service provides 1 Gb per second speed to individual apartment customers.

The company did not disclose pricing for the new service.

Cox said that it will bring 1 Gb speeds to residential customers in all of its markets by the end of 2016.
