Digicash Launches Test of Beacon Solution

   Luxembourg  --  Mobile payments company Digicash has announced the beta test launch of its wireless payment system.

Called Digicash Beacon, the system enables devices at the point of sale to combine Bluetooth, NFC and QR code technologies to pay wirelessly.

Digicash said three banks are pilot testing the system: BCEE, POST and BIL.

The first payments have successfully cleared the new system, according to the company.
