Embrane Software Closes $14 Million Venture Round

   Santa Clara, California  --  Data center software company Embrane Software has secured $14 million in venture capital and strategic investment.

Embrane has developed software "for delivery and management of any network service in the data center."

Investors in the round included Cisco, Lightspeed Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, North Bridge Venture Partners and Presidio Ventures.

The company said it would use the funding to increase its investment in its services and expand support for third-party virtual network service appliances.
