Axonics Modulation Garners Series A Venture Capital

   Irvine, California  --  Medical device company Axonics Modulation Technologies secured $32.6 million in its first round of institutional venture capital funding.

Axonics is developing implantable neuromodulation technology licensed from The Alfred Mann Foundation directed toward the treatment of chronic pain and overactive bladder.

Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners led the round, which also included NeoMed Management and Legend Ventures.

Axonics said it would use the proceeds to accelerate product development and fund a series of clinical studies for its patented neuromodulation system.
